Entertainment publicity company SHOCK INK has hired online music marketing and promotion entrepreneur CHIP SCHUTZMAN to handle its expansion to cover online and social media.
"The very nature of entertainment journalism is changing before our eyes," SHOCK INK founder ELAINE SCHOCK said. "The lines between professional and social media blur more each day, and we may be at the point where what consumers hear on TWITTER and FACEBOOK carry nearly as much weight as the words of a respected critic. The merits of this shift will be debated, but savvy entertainers can't stand idly by as the world changes around them. We're proud to offer this vital new service."
SCHUTZMAN, founder of MILES HIGH PRODUCTIONS, directed music programming for HOUSE OF BLUES ENTERTAINMENT. He's consulted and directed campaigns for more than 150 entertainers and entertainment brands since the late '90s.
SHOCK INK currently represents clients TOBY KEITH, WILLIE NELSON, JEFF DUNHAM, BEN E KING and DAVID LEE ROTH.
