Sony Music Nashville Announces Realignment; Bishop, Tyson Rise

SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE has announced a realignment of its staff, saying in an official statement last night (2/8) “to better position itself to serve its artists and meet the challenges and opportunities of the evolving music business.”
VP/Promotion SKIP BISHOP has been upped to SVP. Concurrently, LESLY TYSON moves from National Dir./Promotion for ARISTA RECORDS to VP/Promotion for the label. TYSON’s first move as VP is to promote Northeast rep JOHN SIGLER as National Dir./Promotion.
TYSON tells ALL ACCESS that ARISTA will be announcing a new Northeast Rep soon, and for now, SIGLER will cover the region.
PAUL BARNABEE is promoted to SVP/Marketing, moving from his former role as SVP/Sales and Operations. BARNABEE will oversee the Digital Marketing, Creative Services, Media, Strategic Marketing, Artist Development and Marketing departments. Also, MIKE CRAFT has been promoted to SVP/Finance and Operations from his former post as VP/Finance and Operations.
CHRIS MELANCON is promoted to Dir./Media Content, Sony Music Nashville, and will continue to report to Allen Brown, VP/Media and Corporate Communications. BARNABEE, BISHOP, CRAFT and SVP/Legal & Business Affairs KATHY WOODS will all report directly to Sony Music Nashville Chairman and CEO GARY OVERTON.
