The wild weather affecting the southern part of the country has created a chill between KID ROCK and CRAIN MEDIA Top 40/Mainstream KHTE (KHITS 96.5)/LITTLE ROCK's "Morning Spectacular" with CRAIG MORRISON and SAMANTHA ADAMS.
MORRISON told ALL ACCESS, "KID ROCK had a show scheduled here in LITTLE ROCK last night. You may have seen the news that ARKANSAS was hit pretty hard by a snowstorm yesterday ... some parts of the state saw up to 24 inches of snow, while the LITTLE ROCK area saw around eight inches. The show was not cancelled, infuriating many KID ROCK fans."
"Understandably, KID was in town and ready to play," continued MORRISON, "however, the infrastructure in LITTLE ROCK cannot handle safely large crowds traveling to a large arena. It put many of his fans into the position of having to decide if they should risk their lives to get to the show, or lose a wad of cash. I also understand the premise of 'the show must go on," however, in light of KID ROCK's reaction to his own fans, we are loudly inviting KID to get out of town and never come back."
Kid Rock Blogs An Angry Response
On his website, KID ROCK posted a "Show Update," writing, "It's this simple, If you bought tix to tonight's show and can't make it, YOU WILL BE GETTING A REFUND, STRAIGHT OUT OF MY POCKET. I've never ripped any of my fans off, EVER!!! I have also NEVER missed a show. I know there are people who drove here from MEMPHIS and OKLAHOMA, been in there cars all day driving and dealing with this shitty weather, the same as me and my band have the WHOLE TOUR. You so-called "fans" on my website bitchin and moanin and saying i'm greedy, can GO FUCK YOURSELVES, plain and simple. Throw out my CDs and lose my number, I don't want drama kings and queens like y'all anywhere around myself, band, crew, family or my fans." [sic]
"Thank you to the real fans who not only understand my situation but defended me. It's not easy," KID ROCK concluded.
