The CRTC has denied GERHARD LOEFFELER's application for a new FM in 100 MILE HOUSE, BC.
LOEFFELER applied for a new Country-Pop-Rock station at 101.7 FM with 1,800 watts, and encountered opposition from VISTA RADIO, licensee of Country CKBX-A (THE WOLF, rebroadcasting CKCQ/QUESNEL, BC)/100 MILE HOUSE, which complained that the new station would threaten its viability in the advertising market.
Also, ANTHONY SCHLIEFER's application to sell all of the shares in 1486781 ONTARIO LTD., licensee of Religion CFWC/BRANTFORD, ON, to KIRK DOUGLAS' DURHAM RADIO for $265,000 has been denied by the CRTC. Also rejected was a request to delete the condition of the station's license that restricts it to playing a minimum of 95% non-classic Religious music and flip the station to Rock.
