Two Tower Owners Get FCC Fines

The FCC has fined INTERNATIONAL CHURCH OF THE FOURSQUARE GOSPEL d/b/a RADIO STATION KFSG FM $10,000 for tower violations at its structure in LOS ANGELES, including failure to exhibit the structure's red obstruction lighting from sunset to sunrise; failure to maintain the antenna structure painting and lighting in accordance with its Antenna Structure Registration; failure to monitor the antenna structure's lights using a properly maintained indicator and/or automatic alarm system designed to register or detect any failure of such lights; and failure to notify the nearest Flight Service Station of the FAA of the outage of the flashing obstruction light. The church no longer operates a radio station but retained the tower after selling the station.
The Commission also fined WALDEC ENTERPRISES, INC. $4,000 for painting and lighting deficiencies at a tower in ANCHORAGE, AK.
