WPHI Stops Music To Address Bullying

RADIO ONE Urban WPHI (100.3 THE BEAT)/PHILADELPHIA is going to stop the music so they can address bullying. Hit jams from TREY SONGZ, NICKI MINAJ, LIL WAYNE and other artists will be absent from THE BEAT on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 17th from 6 -8p -- replaced with the voices of teens who have been bullied, teens who have been bullies and other students who have observed or encouraged teen violence.
The dialogue will be an engaging exchange between students and professionals on anti-violence and bullying. Paticipating will be RADIO ONE Community Affairs Dir. E STEVEN COLLINS, air personality MIA MENDEZ and professionals such as JORDAN HARRIS, Exec Dir. Office The Youth Commissions City Of PHILADELPHIA; DR. CHARLES WILLIAMS of DREXEL UNIVERSITY, Conflict Resolution expert JUDY NELSON; and RUBY BECKETT, Dir. “Unwanted Behavior” – a bullying/teen/violence awareness project.
