RED LIGHT MANAGEMENT is partnering with AT&T to launch a 2D mobile barcode program that allows consumers to scan barcodes to receive access to special offers and content for artists like DAVE MATTHEWS BAND, STEEL TRAIN and TIM McGRAW. The barcodes appear on various promotional materials associated with the artists’ tours. Once they are scanned, the barcodes link to content like free apps, music videos, fan club access and more.
RED LIGHT’s EVAN COOPER said: "Our artists are continuously looking for new ways to connect with their fans and get the word out about their latest activities. By using AT&T's mobile barcode program, we can effectively promote our artists and give fans the opportunity to keep up with their favorite musicians on-the-go."
AT&T’s ROBERT RUSSELL added: "Our focus of the mobile barcode program is to offer businesses the opportunity to connect directly with their consumers. This is the latest example of the work AT&T is doing to drive the emergence of new categories of devices and applications that are enhanced by wireless network connectivity. We are excited to work with RED LIGHT MANAGEMENT to help them drive awareness of their artists and promote a new way for fans to interact with their favorite bands."
