Justin Moore's Tour Bus Catches Fire Near Detroit

VALORY MUSIC CO. artist JUSTIN MOORE has not had very good luck visiting ROYAL OAKS, MI (near DETROIT) lately. The last time he headlined the ROYAL OAKS THEATER in MARCH 2010, his prized GIBSON J-45 guitar was stolen. YESTERDAY (2/16) as JUSTIN traveled to ROYAL OAKS, his tour bus caught fire.
The engine became engulfed in flames at around 4a (ET) yesterday, while MOORE, his band and crew, as well as VALORY’s VP/Field Promotion GEORGE BRINER slept. MOORE and his team were en route to play CBS RADIO Country WYCD/DETROIT’s TEN MAN JAM last night at the ROYAL OAKS THEATER. The fire started from one of the batteries connecting to the bus’ generator and everyone was evacuated while the bus driver extinguished the fire.
MOORE said: “Well ... we really love coming to the DETROIT area. I just hope in the future it gets a little more simple, as far as our trips go! In all seriousness, we're thankful that we're all safe, and feel blessed. It could've been a lot worse than it was.”
A replacement tour bus was sent to the DETROIT area so that JUSTIN can continue on his club tour this week in FLINT, MI, COLUMBUS, OH and COVINGTON, KY.
JUSTIN just released his new single, “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away,” which goes for adds at Country radio this TUESDAY (2/22). Check out a behind-the-scenes video of MOORE recording the song at CMT.com here. For more on JUSTIN MOORE, visit www.moorejustinmusic.com.
