RONALD JOHNSON's EDUCATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS OF COLORADO SPRINGS, INC. is selling a construction permit for new FMs in BURLINGTON, CAMPO and WRAY, CO to PATRICIA JOHNSON's ACADEMY MEDIA, INC. for $300,000. The move is intended to extend the CP expiration dates for 18 months; the permits are presently set to expire in APRIL.
In other filings with the FCC, TED TUCKER's COCHISE MEDIA LICENSES LLC has requested an extension of its Silent STA for KXML/FAIRFIELD, ID due to weather delays for its new site. The filing says that the station will resume operation with its licensed facility "within the next eight weeks." COCHISE has also filed for an extension of its Silent STA for KJXN/SOUTH PARK, WY for financial considerations, saying that the station will be back on the air "within the next six weeks," and has also requested an extension of the Silent STA for KDVC/LOMA, WY while waiting for another party to build out its CP so KDVC can complete a move to a new transmitter site.
And EXTREME GRACE MEDIA, INC. is requesting a Silent STA for K246BE/WILLIAMSBURG, IA, while it seeks a buyer for the station and experiences problems feeding the station over the air.
