FCC Warns L.A. Pirate

The FCC has issued a Notice of Unlicensed Operation to an alleged pirate broadcaster in LOS ANGELES.
The latest notice was issued on FEBRUARY 15th to the operators of the WILSHIRE WESTLAKE BUILDING at 2001 Wilshire Boulevard in LOS ANGELES, where a pirate station was found operating on 101.5 FM. The building is one block from MACARTHUR PARK and LANGER'S DELI in the WESTLAKE neighborhood just west of downtown L.A.
CLEAR CHANNEL Classic Rock KGB/SAN DIEGO is heard in parts of the LOS ANGELES area on 101.5 FM, and the nearby MALIBU area is covered by an LPFM, PEPPERDINE UNIVERSITY Contemporary Christian KWVS-LP, on 101.5. Two LOS ANGELES full-power FMs, CBS RADIO Oldies KRTH (K-EARTH 101) and UNIVISION Regional Mexican KSCA (LA NUEVA 101.9), are on second-adjacent channels to the pirate.
