ENTRAVISION Talk KHRO-A/EL PASO has dropped most of its local and unpaid shows for syndication reports EL PASO INC., with the new lineup including TALK RADIO NETWORK's LAURA INGRAHAM 7-10a (CT), DAVE RAMSEY in middays, WESTWOOD ONE's DENNIS MILLER in the afternoon, and simulcasts of COX MEDIA GROUP FOX affiliate KFOX-TV in mornings and evenings.
Dropped in the move were the local shows hosted by JAIME ABEYTIA and GREG FREYERMUTH, CHRIS BAILEY, HECTOR H. LOPEZ, and JEROME TILGHMAN; ABEYTIA remains on board for a SATURDAY show.
VP/GM DAVID CANDELARIA told EL PASO INC., "The audience just wasn't there. As it was, it was too much same old-same old ... and the same callers every day. I think the audience for the national players will be there. Local talk would be great if we could afford to pay for it, but we can't."
