Beyond Oblivion Gets A $77 Million Injection

A new web-based music store -- BEYOND OBLIVION -- has secured $77 million in additional investments. The site, partially owned by NEWS CORP, is scheduled to launch later this year.
U.K.'s THE GUARDIAN report BEYOND OBLIVION "plans to unveil its 'liberated music' marketplace in SEPTEMBER. Negotiations with the four major record labels -- UNIVERSAL, WARNER MUSIC, SONY and EMI -- are at a 'very advanced stage,' according to the BEYOND OBLIVION founder and chief executive, ADAM KIDRON."
