WASK RADIO GROUP Country WKOA/LAFAYETTE, IN and sister Top 40 WXXB held their second annual GOWN TOWN on SATURDAY (3/12) at LAFAYETTE MARKETPLACE, an event that gives donated prom dresses to those who can't afford a gown. OM MIKE SHAMUS estimated that there were more than 2,400 gowns donated this year, surpassing the 1,800 they received for last year.
WKOA APD/morning co-host ANNIE JAMES told JOURNAL & COURIER: "I get a thrill seeing how happy the girls are. We’ve had dads that lost their jobs. I helped a girl earlier that didn't have a mom. ... I've seen a lot of tears today."
