The OMNI HOTEL AND RESORTS and the COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM have announced details about the expansion of the hall and design of the OMNI NASHVILLE HOTEL. The hotel will rise 21 stories and will include four NASHVILLE-themed restaurants, a live music venue, and Country music memorabilia. The hotel will feature 800 rooms and suites, two ballrooms, retail space and an amenity deck atop the fourth story. The HALL OF FAME will be attached to four stories. An internal pedestrian pathway will connect the hotel and the HALL OF FAME, which will be expanded by 200,000 square feet.
OMNI NASHVILLE HOTEL will serve as the MUSIC CITY CENTER's headquarters hotel, and OMNI representatives said the goal is to create a hotel that reflects the nature of the attached HALL OF FAME. The company has announced a JUNE start date for the $250 million project. The hotel is set to open within months of the convention center's opening in JANUARY 2013 on Fifth Avenue South.
