Public File Violations Lead To $22,000 Consent Decree Between FCC And Atlanta AM

The FCC and HANMI BROADCASTING, INC. have agreed to a Consent Decree resolving public file and document filing violations at Talk-Jazz WPBC-A (AM 1310 THE KING)/DECATUR-ATLANTA, GA, with the company making a $22,000 "voluntary contribution" to the U.S. Treasury.
The station was cited for having "possible unauthorized transfers of control; violated public inspection file requirements, including failure to grant public access and to maintain required documents in the Station’s public inspection file; and failed to file ownership reports and certain contracts with the Commission." The station admitted the violations but claimed financial distress.
