Minor league baseball's BILLINGS MUSTANGS have inked RYAN SCHUILING as play-by-play voice, replacing JOE BLOCK. SCHUILING has called various sports on the collegiate and minor league level, most recently for the TOLEDO WALLEYE of hockey's ECHL, and before that for CENTRAL MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY; he also hosted a show at CITADEL Sports WBBL-A/GRAND RAPIDS.
"We believe RYAN is a natural fit for the MUSTANGS organization and we look forward to working with him on a daily basis during the 2011 season," said MUSTANGS GM GARY ROLLER. "RYAN is an extremely talented broadcaster and brings an impressive resume with him to BILLINGS. He is truly a professional and I can assure our fans that his broadcasts will be insightful, informative and entertaining."
"I am humbled and honored to be joining the proud tradition of BILLINGS MUSTANGS baseball," SCHUILING said. "The team's legion of elite broadcasters like JOE BLOCK, SCOTT LAUER, ED COHEN and others have established a standard of excellence I will strive to uphold. I look forward to being a part of a first-class organization and the BILLINGS community -- from working with GARY and everyone in the Mustangs front office, to meeting the fans and interacting with them on a nightly basis."
The MUSTANGS are heard on BMG BILLINGS, LLC Classic Rock KYSX (105 THE X)/BILLINGS.
