Issues With KNRS Simulcast Noted By Arbitron
March 31, 2011 at 5:39 AM (PT)
ARBITRON sent a letter to their SALT LAKE CITY-OGDEN-PROVO PPM Radio Market Report, explaining the need to issue a revision in the JANUARY 2011 and FEBRUARY 2011 Radio Market Reports. The problem was with a simulcast CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KNRS F-A that was handled seperately.
Wrote ARBITRON, "Audience estimates for stations that receive Total Line Reporting are reported with a combined total line, using the call letters of the 'primary' station (selected by the simulcast combo). KNRS-F and KNRS-A simulcasted throughout the JANUARY 2011 and FEBRUARY 2011 report periods, and were eligible for Total Line Reporting for those report periods.
"Audience estimates reflecting combined listening to KNRS-F and KNRS-A will be released (with KNRS-FM as the primary station) in revised JANUARY 2011 and FEBRUARY 2011 Radio Market Reports, available to subscribers on FRIDAY, APRIL 1st at 12 NOON MT. (KNRS-F and KNRS-A were reported separately in the previously released JanUary 2011 and FEBRUARY 2011 reports.)
In the interim, subscribers may appropriately combine AQH estimates reported individually for KNRS-F and KNRS-A for the JANUARY 2011 report period and for the FEBRUARY 2011 report period. Audience estimates for other stations are not affected in any way."
