WCFS Promotes Scotty Smith To Mornings - Welcomes Eric Olson, Rebecca Ortiz, And Jeff Corder

Eric Olson Joins WCFS

CBS RADIO AC WCFS (FRESH 105.9)/CHICAGO VP AC Programming JIM RYAN announces the promotion of afternoon drive host SCOTTY SMITH to morning drive anchor.  SMITH joins former sister WBBM (B96) on-air personality REBECCA ORTIZ M-F from 5-9a.

SMITH is replaced by 15-year market veteran ERIC OLSON who will go by his new on-air name "ERIC AUSTIN" from 3-8p effective immediately. ERIC's career includes three years at crosstown Hot AC WTMX, as "SHARK" at WKQX, the former WKIE/WKIF, and WZZN.

In addition, JEFF CORDER has been named for weekend/fill-in on-air duties.

In making the announcement, JIM RYAN commented, "We're excited to have REBECCA, ERIC, and JEFF join the staff.  I'm confident they will help us to continue to grow our audience."
