As first reported in ALL ACCESS (NET NEWS, 3/28), PEAK BROADCASTING Top 40 KSAS (103.3 Kiss FM)/BOISE Radio PD/morning host KEKE LUV will again broadcast for 175 consecutive hours, while elevated outdoors in public view. To spotlight with APRIL as Child Abuse Prevention Month, KEKE will not consume food for the entire 175 hours in dedication to ROBERT MANWILL and the children hurt this year due to child abuse.
"In 2009, there were 1571 reported victims of child abuse in Idaho, which means we still have a lot of work to do," PEAK BROADCASTING/BOISE SVP KEVIN GODWIN said. "Each year of this campaign, we see progress ... we see and hear people take a stand against child abuse.
"We are proud of KEKE and our dedicated team of employees, volunteers, civic and business leaders who have stepped forward to give others the courage to bring awareness and to communicate about child abuse."
"Over the past three years, we’ve received massive amounts of phone calls and e-mails," KEKE stated. "We set out to raise awareness and in return we have seen thousands of people positively affected by this. We’re reminded daily that our work isn’t done. Abuse comes in many forms, but if we can stop it early enough, the future looks much brighter. Child abuse can stop with our help"
