BIG MACHINE RECORDS duo STEEL MAGNOLIA have teamed up with CBS RADIO Country WIRK/WEST PALM BEACH and WQYK/TAMPA to promote GM’s “CELL PHONES FOR SOLDIERS” campaign that will be running in local high schools. The campaign is a non-profit group that collects gently used cell phones, to raise funds so they can purchase 60 minute pre-paid calling cards to send to soldiers serving abroad. This allows soldiers to keep in touch with their families and loved ones.
The students in the WEST PALM and TAMPA area schools will compete against each other to see who can raise the most cell phones. The school that raises the most will be treated to a free acoustic concert at their school from STEEL MAGNOLIA.
