We are just under two weeks away from the first annual WORLD WIDE RADIO SUMMIT presented by ALL ACCESS and ANR WORLDWIDE. The event is taking place at the W HOTEL in HOLLYWOOD, CA, APRIL 29th-30th and is the lead-in to this year’s MUSEXPO.
In addition to array of informative sessions geared for all radio programmers (see the agenda here), there will also be artist showcases. On FRIDAY EVENING (4/29) several Triple A-friendly artists will be appearing at SIR STUDIOS, including MEIKO, MATT NATHANSON, SCARS ON 45 and THE YOUNG PRESIDENTS. And MELLISA ETHERIDGE will be performing at the AWARDS LUNCHEON on SATURDAY (4/30).
The 11th annual NONCOMMVENTION is just a month away now -- MAY 19th-21st – once again presented by WXPN/PHILADELPHIA, in conjunction with Top22.com. This year it will be held at the brand new WORLD CAFE LIVE AT THE QUEEN in downtown WILMINGTON, DE.
In addition to informative sessions and presentations (see 3/1 story here), there will be plenty of artist performances including BEN HARPER, THE BLIND BOYS OF ALABAMA, JUSTIN TOWNES EARLE, THURSTON MOORE, MATT NATHANSON, TODD SNIDER, THE HEAD AND THE HEART, REBECCA PIDGEON, SEAN ROWE, THE WHITE BUFFALO, DYLAN LEBLANC, BRIGHT EYES, THE JAYHAWKS, JUNIP, OVER THE RHINE, G. LOVE, DEVOTCHKA, NEW YORK DOLLS, JAMES MCCARTNEY, JOHN POPPER AND THE DUSKRAY TROUBADOURS, SARAH JAROSZ and THE SAM ROBERTS BAND.
Keynote conversations are also planned with ROBBIE ROBERTSON and CLIFF BURNSTEIN.
Further, "Sound Opinions" hosts GREG KOT and JIM DEROGATIS are to guest at SONGLINE’s annual Music Meeting session hosted by SEAN COAKLEY and MELANIE SHRAWDER.

Details are now beginning to emerge for the 3rd annual FMQB TRIPLE A CONFERENCE, held at the ST. JULIEN HOTEL AND SPA in BOULDER, CO, AUGUST 10th-13th. For the 19th year, the Triple A community at-large will gather to discuss the issues facing the format and to watch both established artists and newcomers in variety of settings.
COLLECTIVE SOUNDS’S new label head TOM "GROVER" BIERY will be the keynote interview to kick things off on WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON (8/1).
Plus JEFF BRIDGES has just been added to the performance line-up that includes LISSIE, BOBBY LONG, JOSEPH ARTHUR, SCARS ON 45, JOHN BUTLER TRIO, BRANDI CARLILE, DEVOTCHKA, FITZ & THE TANTRUMS, MATT NATHANSON,TROMBONE SHORTY and NEEDTOBREATHE as the first acts to be confirmed.
