Boston March 2011: KISS, MAGIC Big In Boston
CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WXKS-F (KISS 108) was #1 P6+ in BOSTON in MARCH (10.8), the third month in a row of share growth (see Snapshot Trends below) for the station. CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40/R WJMN (JAMN' 94-5) was #2 (7.0) and CBS RADIO News-Talk WBZ-A was #3 (6.4). A third big month in a row for GREATER MEDIA AC WMJX (MAGIC 106.7) saw them rise to #4 P6+ (6.3) and from #8t to #4 to #2 P25-54, JANUARY through MARCH.

Minneapolis- St. Paul March 2011: KDWB Tops In Twin Cities; KS95 Keeps Momentum
CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 KDWB was #1 P6+ in MARCH in MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL with 8.7, holding on to the top spot in the TWIN CITIES for the third month in a row. CITADEL Classic Rock KQRS was #2 (7.6) and CLEAR CHANNEL Country KEEY (K102) moved up to #3 (7.3), pushing CBS RADIO Talk WCCO-A to #4 (7.1).
HUBBARD Hot AC KSTP-F (KS95) cracked the Top 5 (6.6 P6+) on the heels of a third straight month of share growth (see Snapshot Trends below), which included a P25-54 ranking streak rising from #5 to #4t to #3, JANUARY through MARCH. CBS RADIO AC WLTE (102.9 LITE FM) has tracked in a contrary fashion after being #1t P25-54 in the HOLIDAY period, falling from #13t to #14 to #15, JANUARY through MARCH.
Triple A Triple Good: MINNESOTA PUBLIC RADIO Triple A KCMP (89.3 THE CURRENT) and CLEAR CHANNEL Triple A KTZC (CITIES 97) have each been on a roll for the past three months (see Snapshot Trends below), with THE CURRENT holding the overall edge due to a bigger MARCH. The stations were tied P6+ (4.2, #10t) and P18-34 (#7t), while THE CURRENT led P25-54 (#6 vs. #9) and P35-64 (#9 vs. #11).

San Diego March 2011: CHANNEL 933 #1 In San Diego
CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 KHTS (CHANNEL 933) was #1 P6+ (6.6) in SAN DIEGO in MARCH for the second month in a row. CLEAR CHANNEL AC KMYI (STAR 94.1) was #2 (6.0) and CBS RADIO AC KYXY (KYXY 96.5) was #3 (5.1).
MORNINGS: STAR 94.1’s AJ IN THE MORNING had a big MARCH, gaining 25% + share in all key demos and moving #2t to #1 P6+ (5.7-7.1) and #2 to #1 P25-54. After just two full months back on the air in SAN DIEGO, it’s still early for JEFF & JER at KYXY, who went 5.6 to 5.0 (#5 to #6) P6+ and from #3 to #3t P25-54.

St. Louis March 2011: Z107-7 Has #1 To Itself; WIL Surges
After being bumped out of the #1 position during the HOLIDAY rating period, CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 KSLZ (Z107-7) regained sole possession of the top spot P6+ in ST. LOUIS in MARCH with 7.7. Z107-7 had been tied for #1 in FEBRUARY with RADIO ONE Urban WHHL (HOT 104.1), which dropped to #3 (6.4) as BONNEVILLE Country WIL (92.3 WIL) surged 5.1 to 6.6 (#9 to #2) from FEBRUARY to MARCH.Country’s Cooking: While WIL had a third month in a row of share growth (see Snapshot Trends below), CLEAR CHANNEL Country KSD (THE BULL) had a big month, too, surpassing WIL P18-34 (#5t vs. #7). WIL led the Country battle in other key demos, though, #2 vs. #12t P25-54 and #2 vs. #13 P35-64.
