The FCC has fined ANNABELLE SAVAGE, Chapter 7 Trustee for UNIVERSAL BROADCASTING, former licensee of Spanish Talk KQLO-A (INNOVACION 1590)/SUN VALLEY, NV, $4,000 for unauthorized transfer of control of the station.
The station was sold to JIREH MEDIA, with the sale applied for on JULY 28, 2009 and granted on APRIL 13, 2010; a complaint from STEVEN LEWIS alleged that JIREH "largely managed the dad-to-day maintenance and rehabilitation of the Station during the Trustee’s time as licensee and that the Trustee did not manage or hire any employees to manage the radio station or adequately supervise JIREH’s work." The trustee did not respond to the Notice of Apparent Liability, but the fine was cut in half from $8,000 in light of the bankruptcy.
