NBC series THE VOICE premiered last night (4/26) with coaches BLAKE SHELTON, CEE LO GREEN, CHRISTINA AGUILERA and ADAM LEVINE. NASHVILLE was well represented on the show, with VANDERBILT’s PATRICK THOMAS getting praise from judges for his rendition of “Live Like You Were Dying.”
SHELTON won THOMAS’ interest by telling him, “I have the avenues to make you a Country star. I can do it.” SHELTON also snagged NASHVILLE husband and wife duo ELENOWEN for his team.
“First and foremost, nothing needs to get in the way of y’all’s relationship, and this business is tough when it comes to things like that,” said SHELTON. “I’ve seen it, and I know how to help y’all protect that.”
