DIAL GLOBAL syndicated talker ED SCHULTZ, facing a lawsuit by an NBC broadcast engineer who claims he tried to pitch a TV show starring SCHULTZ to a WASHINGTON TV station and is suing SCHULTZ for money he claims he is owed despite the show not being sold, went on GREAT PLAINS INTEGRATED MEDIA Talk WZFG-A (AM 1100 THE FLAG)/FARGO to talk about the case with host BRUCE KELLY TODAY (5/12).
KELLY, who has spent, in his words, "six months trash-talking ED SCHULTZ every morning," got an exclusive interview with SCHULTZ and his lawyer, JEFF LANDA, about the case, with SCHULTZ saying that "it was made very clear from the start" that the project in question was a syndicated WASHINGTON-based show that was independent from other projects like his MSNBC show, and that "there is no contract, there has never been any contract" with the engineer, MICHAEL QUEEN, a/k/a MICHAEL ANDERSON. LANDA added that "You can sue anyone anytime for anything" and that the case "is not a surprise to us," since they had dealt with three different attorneys for QUEEN in two years before the present suit was filed.
