TRIPLE 8 MANAGEMENT owner GEORGE COURI has announced that his firm has added two employees and made several in-house promotions to bring its total full-time team to eight members. JENN POPPE joins as Day-to-Day Manager for ELI YOUNG BAND and JOE NICHOLS with KAREN McGUIRE joining as Director of Radio Promotions.
TRIPLE 8 currently manages the careers of ELI YOUNG BAND, JACK INGRAM, JOE NICHOLS and KEVIN FOWLER.
“Our philosophy has been to not sign every artist just because we can or just because they make money, but staff up to the point where we can not only cover the ABC’s of artist management, but to have enough team members and bandwidth to go after a lot more, for fewer artists,“ COURI said. “With new additions in JENN POPPE and KAREN McGUIRE, we have experienced pros who are as tenacious as the rest of us. They had a lot of options, so we are very lucky to have them.”
POPPE previously had an eight-year stint at GHM/RED LIGHT MANAGEMENT, in addition to managing the career of RODNEY ATKINS over the past six years. McGUIRE comes from a label background, most recently with UNIVERSAL SOUTH, after spending 16 years at CURB RECORDS. She served as a regional in radio promotion at both companies.
TRIPLE 8 also promoted LARRY MURRAY, who previously served as day-to-day manager for JOE NICHOLS and ELI YOUNG BAND, to lead the New Media and Tour Marketing department. He will be supported by JENN ADAMS, who has been doing both new media and tour marketing for TRIPLE 8 since 2009.
