Oaktree Capital Makes Plans To Go Public
Company Owns Debt Of Triton Digital And Townsquare Media Among Others

OAKTREE CAPITAL, which holds the debt of TRITON DIGITAL and TOWNSQUARE MEDIA among others, is making plans for an IPO, reports BARRONS. "Mainly known for its fixed-income prowess, OAKTREE manages about $85 billion in assets," notes BARRONS. The company’s IPO values the deal at between $8-$9 billion, according to THE FINANCIAL TIMES.
OAKTREE would join APOLLO GLOBAL (APO), KKR & CO. (KKR), BLACKSTONE GROUP (BX), OCH-ZIFF CAPITAL MANAGEMENT (OZM) and FORTRESS INVESTMENT GROUP (FIG) as alternative asset managers that are now publicly traded.
OAKTREE stock has been trading on a private exchange managed by GOLDMAN SACHS since MAY 2007.
