Harker: 'Slacker Is A Wannabe'

In the latest posting on its RADIOINSIGHTS blog, HARKER RESEARCH analysts GLENDA SHRADER BOS and RICHARD HARKER won't make many friends at SLACKER RADIO. They write, "Remember the children’s story of a railroad engine with low self-esteem? It managed to get over a tall hill by repeating, 'I think I can, I think I can, I think I can' over and over. The little engine succeeded. It made it over the hill."
"This week's SLACKER announcement that it was once again retooling brought to mind the story of the little engine that could," HARKER continued. "Not because we think it will succeed. We don’t think it will. No, the story came to mind because we suspect that the venture capitalists who bankroll SLACKER must read the story every night to keep their hopes up."
