Ed Baxter Retires, Jon Bristow Named Morning Co-Anchor At KGO/San Francisco

Longtime CITADEL Talk KGO-A/SAN FRANCISCO morning co-anchor ED BAXTER is retiring and KGO reporter/anchor JON BRISTOW is stepping in to replace BAXTER on the KGO MORNING NEWS alongside JENNIFER JONES LEE. BAXTER has been with KGO for 35 years, the last 11 as morning co-anchor.
"We're looking forward to the fresh new sound of the KGO MORNING NEWS with JON and JENNIFER," GM DEIDRA LIEBERMAN said. "JON is known and loved by the KGO audience, and I know he'll be an outstanding fit."
BAXTER, on his retirement, said, "The schedule of early morning hours has taken a toll and I'm looking forward to sleeping in."
News Director PAUL HOSLEY added, "I'd like to thank ED for his many years of service to KGO, covering some of the biggest stories in the BAY AREA."
