SALISBURY UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION INC. is selling the construction permit for noncommercial FM WDDE/DOVER, DE to DELAWARE FIRST MEDIA CORPORATION for $24,000.
RADIO ASSIST MINISTRY, INC. is selling FM translator W234BB/MOORES MILL, AL to HUNDLEY BATTS and VIRGINIA CAPLES for $38,000.
JIM BLEIKAMP has requested another Silent STA for WCME-A/BRUNSWICK, ME, as it awaits zoning approval for a new site.
And UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON SYSTEM has filed for a Silent STA for FM translator K218DA/HOUSTON, TX.
Emmis Sells L.A. Tower Site
According to EMMIS COMMUNICATIONS' 10-K filing with the SEC on MAY 10th, the company sold its FLINT PEAK transmitter site at GLENDALE, CA, serving the LOS ANGELES market, to RICHLAND TOWERS MANAGEMENT for $6 million, giving the company a $4.8 million gain.
Closings on Long Island and in the Palm Beaches
JARAD BROADCASTING COMPANY OF HAMPTON BAYS, LLC has closed on the sale of WLIR-F/HAMPTON BAYS, LONG ISLAND, NY to LIVINGSTONE BROADCASTING, INC. for $650,000.
And BARRY UNIVERSITY has closed on the sale of noncommercial News-Talk WXEL-F/WEST PALM BEACH to CLASSICAL SOUTH FLORIDA (AMERICAN PUBLIC MEDIA GROUP) for $4.05 million. The PALM BEACH POST reports that the closing took place WEDNESDAY and the station has changed call letters to WPBI, with no format or staff changes taking place for now.
