Fresh from his return from broadcasting in IRAQ, PEAK BROADCASTING Talk KIDO-A/BOISE morning host KEVIN MILLER has embarked on his "Freedom Walk" (NET NEWS 5/5) all the way from HAILEY, ID to BOISE with the goal of arriving in BOISE for a rally on JUNE 4th. As of today, MILLER has less than 40 miles to go on the walk.
The long walk started on SATURDAY (5/28) in HAILEY, the home of POW BOWE BERGDAHL, and will have covered 132 miles on Highways 75 and 20 and I-84 by its conclusion. The walk will conclude at the FALLEN SOLDIERS MEMORIAL for a rally to honor the sacrifice of the troops, with IDAHO Governor BUTCH OTTER and First Lady LORI OTTER speaking.
MILLER said, "We have troops serving in all places around the world in addition to IRAQ and AFGHANISTAN. It's important that they and their families know we love and support them unconditionally. By hosting the God Bless Our Troops Rally on SATURDAY, we hope to create an experience these families can share and relive in person and online to let them know we're thinking of them and we appreciate their sacrifice."
PEAK BROADCASTING BOISE Director of AM Operations JASON WILMOT added, "The Freedom Walk and the God Bless Our Troops Rally are two examples of the passion and dedication KEVIN MILLER has for supporting our local military and it serves as an inspiration to all of us at 580 KIDO."
