Price Tag Revealed In Clear Channel-Holladay-EMF Mississippi Deals

The deals under which CLEAR CHANNEL is selling five stations in MERIDIAN, MS to CLAY HOLLADAY's MISSISSIPPI BROADCASTERS, LLC, two of the stations spun off to NEW SOUTH COMMUNICATIONS, INC., and other stations going to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION and MERIDIAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOUNDATION now have price tags attached, as the FCC filings disclose the dollars changing hands that were not announced last week (NET NEWS 6/3).
The sale of Country WMSO (MISS 101), Urban WZKS (KISS 104.1), Gospel WYHL-A, Hot AC WJDQ (95Q) and Urban WHTU (HOT 97.9), all presently owned by CLEAR CHANNEL and programmed by URBan RADIO under a time brokerage agreement, to MISSISSIPPI BROADCASTERS is priced at $1.1 million. The buyer is then in turn selling WJDQ and WHTU to NEW SOUTH for $350,000 and will also spin off its own Hot AC WMLV (V93.5) to EMF for $175,000 ($125,000 in a promissory note). And the donation by MISSISSIPPI BROADCASTERS of Classic Hits WKZB (106.9 THE BUZZ) to the MERIDIAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOUNDATION is being performed for $1 consideration.
In other FCC filings, WP PENNSYLVANIA, LLC is selling Religion daytimer WWII-A (720 THE ROCK)/SHIREMANSTOWN-HARRISBURG, PA to HOLY FAMILY RADIO, INC. for $500,000.
SENIOR BROADCASTING CORPORATION is selling Adult Hits WVLG-A/WILDWOOD-THE VILLAGES, FL to VILLAGES COMMUNICATIONS, INC. for $750,000.
In TEXAS' Hill Country, MULTIMEDEOS RADIO OLA is selling FM translator K258BL/FREDERICKSBURG, TX to JONAH CREEK MISSIONS for $5,000.
MANAGEMENT ADVISORY SERVICES, INC. is transferring the construction permit for a new AM in AGANA, GUAM to PACIFIC TECHNICAL SERVICES for no cash consideration.
KUOW/PUGET SOUND PUBLIC RADIO, the entity which manages noncommercial KUOW-F/SEATTLE for the UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON, is assigning the licenses for noncommercial KUOW-A/TUMWATER-OLYMPIA, WA and the construction permit for KQOW/BELLINGHAM, WA to the university for $1.
Another of CLEAR CHANNEL's donations to the MINORITY MEDIA AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS COUNCIL through the MMTC-CLEAR CHANNEL Ownership Diversity Initiative has been filed with the FCC, this time Oldies WTOC-A (TRUE OLDIES 1360)/NEWTON, NJ. The deal was initially announced in JULY 2010.
JAMISON-WOLF ENTERPRISES, INC. is selling Country KSYC-F/YREKA, CA and FM translator K221BK/ETNA, CA to BUFFALO BROADCASTING, LLC for $400,000 in a promissory note. The buyer has been programming KSYC-F under a Programming Agreement since MARCH 1st.
And LAZER LICENSES has applied for a booster for Regional Mexican KXSM (RADIO LAZER 93.5)/HOLLISTER, CA at SALINAS.
WOCN/Miami Sale Closes
IM FL LICENSES, LLC (INDEPENDENCE MEDIA) has closed on the sale of Spanish Sports WOCN-A (ESPN DEPORTES 1450)/MIAMI to DM FL LICENSEE, LLC (DEPORTES MEDIA OF FLORIDA) for $1.2 million plus an LMA before closing and $200,000 for the real estate.
