The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS (NAB) Board Of Director has re-elected CAROLINE BEASLEY, EVP & Chief Financial Officer of BEASLEY BROADCAST GROUP as Radio Board Chair for another year. The announcement was made at the NAB Joint Board Of Directors meetings that concluded TODAY (6/8) in WASHINGTON, DC.
In addition, RICK CUMMINGS, President/Programming for EMMIS COMMUNICATIONS, was re-elected as Radio Board First Vice Chairman. DON BENSON, President & CEO of LINCOLN FINANCIAL MEDIA, was elected Radio Board Second Vice Chairman. MARC MORGAN, SVP, Chief Revenue Officer, COX MEDIA GROUP was elected to the Radio Board's major group representative seat by unanimous vote.
NAB EVP/Government Relations LAURIE KNIGHT and NAB EVP/Legal & Regulatory Affairs JANE MAGO briefed the Board on legislative and regulatory issues facing the broadcasting business, specifically spectrum reallocation and performance tax.
MAGO updated the board on regulatory issues, including spectrum policy, ownership rules, content regulation, Emergency Alert System (EAS) and nondiscrimination in advertising.
