The TENNESSEAN is reporting that over 200 Country music fans had to be treated at medical tents yesterday (6/9), the first official day of the 2011 CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL in NASHVILLE.
As MCA artist GARY ALLAN kicked off the festival with a show at NASHVILLE’s RIVERFRONT PARK, the temperature started climbing to a high for the day of 95-degrees, the 12th straight day temperatures have reached at least 90 degrees in the city.
The NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE is calling for about a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms through the close of the event on SUNDAY night (6/12), however there’s not much hope for relief from the heat.
