The 2011 CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL, which took place from JUNE 9th through 12th in DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE, wrapped last night (6/12), with performances by DARIUS RUCKER, MIRANDA LAMBERT, THE JANEDEAR GIRLS, BLAKE SHELTON, TAYLOR SWIFT and more. MIRANDA LAMBERT brought out her group PISTOL ANNIE’S to perform their new single “Hell On Heels” with her and talked about her recent wedding to SHELTON. TRACE ADKINS joined BLAKE for their hit “Hillbilly Bone” and TAYLOR ran through the crowd to perform on a stage in the middle of the field.
For a 2nd year in a row the CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL sold out each night at LP FIELD. With crowd estimates from free areas and the nightly ticketed concerts at LP FIELD, the FESTIVAL reached an average daily attendance of 65,000.
"To meet the outstanding sell out of 2010 again in 2011 speaks volumes about the strength of this event, the dedication of our fans, the support of our local community, and the popularity of our music and artists," said CMA Chief Executive Officer STEVE MOORE.
The CMA has already announced the ticket on sale date for next year, with the 2012 fest tickets to go on sale on JULY 30th at 10a (CT). The 2012 CMA FESTIVAL will take place on JUNE 7th through 10th. Festival organizers originally had planned for tickets to go on sale JUNE 11th but have pushed that back because of the high demand for renewals among the 2011 ticketholders and the processing time required.
On JULY 30th, tickets go on sale through TICKETMASTER and at www.cmafest.com. Tickets can also be purchased through BRIDGESTONE ARENA or LP FIELD box offices.
