WTMJ/Milwaukee Collects Over $52,000 In Donations For Honor Flight Campaign

JOURNAL Talk WTMJ-A/MILWAUKEE midday host CHARLIE SYKES and sister NBC affiliate WTMJ0TV (TODAY'S TMJ4) collected over $52,659 in donations in just three hours for the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight Campaign, which provides one-day trips from MILWAUKEE to WASHINGTON, DC for WORLD WAR II veterans.
Over the past 18 months, SYKES listeners have donated $455,000 for the campaign. The event was promoted by SYKES and afternoon host JEFF WAGNER along with the TV station and sponsors FIELDS JAGUAR, LAND ROVER, VOLVO WAUKESHA, and SPRING BANK.
Veterans will be provided with transportation, food, tours of the WORLD WAR II memorial, IWO JIMA memorial, AIR FORCE memorial and ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY, plus a special reception at the AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM.
