Fred Buc Among Vanderbilt Student Media Hall of Fame 2011 Inductees

Five VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY alumni who made their mark as student journalists and distinguished themselves through their professions will be inducted OCTOBER 21st into the VANDERBILT STUDENT MEDIA HALL OF FAME.
Those selected for the 2011 class are FRED BUC, GM for TUNED IN Triple A WRLT (LiGHTNING 100)/NASHVILLE; FRYE GAILLARD, writer-in-residence at the UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH ALABAMA; TERRY EASTLAND, publisher of THE WEEKLY STANDARD; NEIL SKENE, vice chairman and legal counsel for MEDAFFINITY CORPORATION; and TYLER KEPNER, national baseball writer for THE NEW YORK TIMES.
The VANDERBILT STUDENT MEDIA HALL OF FAME was established in 2009 to honor VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY alumni who have achieved outstanding personal or professional accomplishments.. A ceremony and reception to honor the third class of inductees is scheduled to be held at the VANDERBILT STUDENT LIFE CENTER.
BUC is a NASHVILLE native. He was named GM at WRLT in 1998.
