KCMP To Do Another Music Exchange

MINNEASOTA PUBLIC RADIO Triple A KCMP (THE CURRENT)/MINNEAPOLIS started something called THE MUSIC EXCHANGE as a way to connect radio listeners with music from different communities, exchanging songs from favorite local artists with those from another community.  In 2009, THE CURRENT created its first exchange with WXPN/PHILADELPHIA.

Now the station is at it again, this time establishing a trade with UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON's KEXP/SEATTLE.  The MUSIC EXCHANGE will take place between CURRENT host MARK WHEAT and KEXP PD KEVIN COLE (who is a TWIN CITIES radio vet).

COLE and WHEAT will unveil new music and commentary -- on air and online --throughout the week of JUNE 20th-24th.
