Zachary Katz Named FCC Chief Counsel

FCC Chairman JULIUS GENACHOWSKI's Legal Advisor ZACHARY KATZ has been upped to Chief Counsel & Senior Legal Advisor, replacing RICK KAPLAN, recently named Chief of the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau. In addition, Legal Advisor SHERRESE SMITH has been named Sr. Counsel and Special Counsel AMY LEVINE has been named Legal Advisor.

And ERIN MCGRATH, Assistant Division Chief in the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau's Mobility Division, is joining Commissioner ROBERT M. MCDOWELL's staff as Acting Legal Advisor for media issues.

ERIN brings with her both a depth and breadth of experience from her 11 years here at the Commission including extensive work with a variety of wireless and media transaction reviews, rulemakings and auctions.
