JOURNAL BROADCAST GROUP/OMAHA have been helping the SALVATION ARMY in its relief efforts by asking listeners and viewers to donate desperately needed supplies to help in clean-up efforts for the rising MISSISSIPPI RIVER flood waters in NEBRASKA, IOWA and SOUTH DAKOTA. Donations may be dropped off at ACTION NEWS 3 office, the JOURNAL BROADCAST GROUP RADIO office; or THE SALVATION ARMY.
The station group will also be getting behind this year’s IRON CHEF TUCSON competition, which has been expanded to a full Culinary Experience Weekend, running JUNE 25th-26th from 10a-5p at LOEWS VENTANA CANYON RESORT. Two local chefs -- RYAN CLARK from the LODGE ON THE DESERT and STEVEN SCHULTZ of RED SKY -- battle it out to be crowned IRON CHEF TUCSON 2011.
