MUSIC ROW magazine held its 23rdAnnual MUSIC ROW AWARDS last night (6/21) at the ASCAP headquarters in NASHVILLE.
REPUBLIC/NASHVILLE group THE BAND PERRY were the night’s biggest winners, taking home the reader-voted plaque for “Breakthrough Artist.” The group’s lead singer, KIMBERLY PERRY, was honored with the award for “Song of the Year” and “Breakthrough Songwriter,” for penning the group’s single “If I Die Young.” It was the first time in MUSICROW AWARDS history that the same act had taken all three accolades.
The “Marketing Achievement” was given to both CAPITOL RECORDS NASHVILLE for LUKE BRYAN’s album “Doin’ My Thing,” and BIG MACHINE RECORDS for TAYLOR SWIFT’s album “Speak Now.”
