SHOW DOG-UNIVERSAL MUSIC artist TOBY KEITH played THE BLUEBIRD CAFÉ in NASHVILLE, TN on TUESDAY (6/28) to raise money for the 2011 BIRDSONG SERIES. He was joined by songwriters BOBBY PINSON and SCOTTY EMERICK and the events raised $20,000.
The BLUEBIRD’s BIRDSONGS SERIES was created in 2010 to help pay off the debt accrued through NSAI’s purchase of the club and to help ensure the club’s future as a listening room for songwriters and artists to honor music.
KEITH said, “GOD blessed me to be a songwriter first and foremost. I remember going to writer's night at the BLUEBIRD. It's great to have a place for songwriters to showcase their songs. It can open a door that just makes a song fly. Just one moment of inspiration and you're off. NASHVILLE needs to keep the BLUEBIRD alive and thriving.”
Further BIRDSONGS shows are in the works and will be announced at www.bluebirdcafe.com.
