Actor STEPHEN BALDWIN and radio personality KEVIN MCCULLOUGH are launching a private health care initiative, the "CARES Project 2011," to offer lower-cost prescription drugs to the public.
BALDWIN and MCCULLOUGH, who co-host the syndicated BALDWIN/MCCULLOUGH RADIO show together (MCCULLOUGH has his own show on radio and on FAMILYNET television), are offering a card through their XTREMECHARITY that can be downloaded from the Internet and is valid at 60,000 pharmacies nationwide that will guarantee that users are not charged the higher cost when a drug costs less than the insurance co-pay. The card also discounts drugs for the uninsured. An additional part of the initiative offers a plan for unlimited office visits to a doctor for a flat yearly fee.
