AMERICA’S RADIO NEWS NETWORK (ARNN) has named Jay Alan to be co-anchor of ARNN’s The Drive Home news block, airing weekdays from 6-9p ET. ALAN boasts considerable extensive radio broadcasting experience, including five years at News/Talk KFBK-A/SACRAMENTO, CA where he received the EDWARD R. MURROW AWARD. He has also worked at KSTE/SACRAMENTO; KNEW/SAN FRANCISCO and KTAR/Phoenix.
"I am extremely pleased to join AMERICA'S RADIO NEWS NETWORK and am excited about this opportunity to provide people information in a timely, informative, and interesting venue. I am hopeful and confident my background in politics, homeland security, counter-terrorism and more will provide unique insights and observations for listeners and will add to the already strong depth of talented people at ARNN."
"JAY ALAN’s radio and TV broadcasting experience on some of the top stations in nation and in the government sector with the State of CALIFORNIA makes ALAN a perfect fit to co-anchor ARNN’s The Drive Home, three-hour all-news block -- and sooner rather than later," ARNN CEO MARK MASTERS said. "We have been stunned by the high demand!"
"JAY ALAN brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this job at ARNN," EVP/News Programming JOHN MCCASLIN added. "Not only was he an accomplished anchor at one of the top news stations in the nation, KFBK in SACRAMENTO, he is also an expert in the field of homeland security. JAY is called upon all over the country as a guest speaker on the subject, so having him with us in the studio will be a huge added benefit for ARNN and our listeners and stations. His warmth and personality on the air will make him a huge favorite as well."
