LINCOLN FINANCIAL MEDIA Alternative KBZT (FM 94/9)/SAN DIEGO nighttimer TOMMY HOUGH has resigned to move back to the PACIFIC NORTHWEST and make career change working for the WASHINGTON STATE PARKS. Thanks to modern technology, TOMMY will continue to host FM 94/9's BRUNCH WITH BOB AND FRIENDS on SUNDAY mornings.
HOUGH said, "I got married to a wonderful young woman in JANUARY, and ever since then we've been pursuing work options in the SEATTLE, WASHINGTON area, where I lived for many years before coming to SAN DIEGO to become a part of the FM 94/9 team. It's been a zany three years and a wonderful, wonderful ride, but it's time to head back north. My wife and I have both landed work in the SEATTLE area, and we're heading there to begin the next installment of our lives.
"It's never easy to leave a place as gratifying and amazing as FM 94/9 (where else can a guy play PEARL JAM, JOHNNY CASH, RADIOHEAD, THE CLASH, PIXIES, and BOB MARLEY within 20 minutes of each other?), and I will miss the camaraderie, good spirits, and quality of work and character here, as well as FM 94/9's repeated willingness to give commercial rock radio a swift kick in the ass."
Meanwhile, PD GARETT MICHAELS has a rare on-air opening. If you have at least two years Alternative radio experience, a deep knowledge and respect of music, and can be yourself on the radio, GARETT wants your resume and aircheck on CD. DO NOT SEND MP3s.
