The CRTC has issued a short-term license renewal to MOSES ZNAIMER"s MZ MEDIA INC. for Classical CFMZ/TORONTO and CFMX/COBOURG, ON. The licenses have been renewed only until AUGUST 31, 2015 due to failure to comply with rules requiring filing of annual returns and contributions to Canadian talent development funds.
The company was, however, relieved from its license requirement that it must devote 60% of its Canadian content development contributions to "FACTOR or MUSICACTION," instead being allowed to devote up to 80% of the contributions towards Classical initiatives and 20% to FACTOR.
The agency also approved HB COMMUNICATIONS INC.'s application to move the transmittter of community station CFMQ/HUDSON BAY, SK, and CIAM MEDIA AND RADIO BROADCASTING ASSOCIATION's application to add low-power transmitters in PRESPATOU and DAWSON CREEK, BC and THREE HILLS, AB for Type B community FM CIAM/FORT VERMILION, AB.
