What's going with HD RADIO ALLIANCE, and the marketing of HD RADIO on those radio stations in the HD RADIO ALLIANCE to their audience?
For a few weeks now, it's become obvious that one of the most advertised products on radio for the past few years, the HD RADIO ALLIANCE, is no longer even close to that description.
According to MEDIA MONITORS, here are the rankings since JUNE 2011, up through last week:
JUNE 6-12: #6
JUNE 13-19: #8
JUNE 20-26: #7
JUNE 27-JULY 3: #10
JULY 4-10: #14
JULY 11-17: #28
JULY 18-24: #33
JULY 25-31: #44
ALL ACCESS has learned that CLEAR CHANNEL has been the major reason for the drop in HD RADIO ALLIANCE advertising numbers, with that product no longer airing on the chain. Does CLEAR CHANNEL's focus on iHEARTRADIO have anything to do with it?
When contacted by ALL ACCESS, HD RADIO ALLIANCE Strategic Advisor PETER FERRARA offered "no comment" on the matter.
