Former CITADEL Talk WMAL-A/WASHINGTON "GRANDY AND ANDY" morning co-host ANDY PARKS is the host of a new afternoon show produced from the newsroom studio of THE WASHINGTON TIMES. The paper reports that "ANDY PARKS -- LIVE FROM THE WASHINGTON TIMES" will air 3-6p (ET) weekdays on METRO RADIO Talk WTNT-A/ALEXANDRIA, VA-WASHINGTON, DC and simulcast partner WKDL-A/WARRENTON, VA, starting AUGUST 22. PARKS will be joined for daily segments with editorial writer JEFFREY KUHNER and columnist JENNIFER HARPER, and PARKS' former WMAL producer ANN WOG will serve as Executive Producer.
"The TIMES has been my paper of choice for many years, telling the real story about politics, national security and life in the most powerful city in the world," PARKS told the TIMES. "This new show represents a bold forward thinking approach to deliver the pages of the WASHINGTON TIMES not only in print or on the web, but by spoken word."
"ANDY PARKS is a well-known, admired and trusted radio personality for those who live in WASHINGTON," said the paper's President, THOMAS P. MCDEVITT. "We are honored and excited to expand our radio presence for hometown audiences by bringing ANDY back on the air -- broadcasting live and embedded right in our own newsroom."
