The RADIO TELEVISION DIGITAL NEWS ASSOCIATION's PAUL WHITE Award will go this year to television newscaster LINDA ELLERBEE. ELLERBEE, the host and producer of NICKELODEON's "NICK NEWS" and a former NBC NEWS anchor/correspondent, will receive the honor at the RTDNA Excellence in Journalism 2011 Conference in NEW ORLEANS in SEPTEMBER. "NICK NEWS" and ELLERBEE's work for NICKELODEON has previously won the EDWARD R. MURROW Award, three PEABODY Awards, two DUPONT COLUMBIA Awards, and eight EMMY Awards.
"The PAUL WHITE Award goes to those who have changed broadcasting and news through a lifetime of hard work and leadership," said STACEY WOELFEL, chairman of the award committee. "LINDA ELLERBEE has done that over and over again, changing the way dayparts and demographics get their news."
