Entercom Clusters Honor Fallen Servicemen, Help Navy Seals

On SATURDAY (8/6), ENTERCOM/NORFOLK, VA stations AC WWDE (2WD), Hot AC WPTE (94.9 THE POINT), Urban AC WVKL (95.7 R&B), and Top 40 WNVZ (Z104) will honor the 30 AMERICAN service members, including members of the elite NAVY SEAL TEAM SIX, who were killed in this week's recent helicopter crash in AFGHANISTAN.

SEAL TEAM SIX is based in VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, so ENTERCOM/NORFOLK will partner with the NAVY SEAL FOUNDATION to help the families of those who lost loved ones in AFGHANISTAN.

ENTERCOM Pres./CEO DAVID J. FIELD commented, "Today ENTERCOM is launching a company-wide fund raising campaign across our 23 markets and 111 stations. This devastating tragedy has touched us all. These NAVY SEALS are our finest and bravest soldiers and they have paid the ultimate price to protect this great nation and all of its citizens. Their children are now fatherless and their wives are now widows. It is our duty to do all we can to help their families at this time of great need."

ENTERCOM/MEMPHIS VP/MARKET Mgr. DAN BARRON stated, "These fallen heroes are great AMERICANS. ENTERCOM/MEMPHIS is privileged to help these amazing families and honor the men who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country."

ENTERCOM is encouraging listeners to donate $10 at www.mymemphisperks.com or through station websites. Its SACRAMENTO cluster is partnering with THE RIDGE GOLF COURSE in AUBURN on a way for area golfers to help the NAVY SEAL FOUNDATION. This weekend, golfers who go to SACRAMENTOPERKS.COM and purchase $50 worth of golf at The Ridge for just $25, $15 of the purchase price will go directly to the NAVY SEAL FOUNDATION. 

Additionally, visitors to SACRAMENTO PERKS (and all the ENTERCOM "Perks" websites in 23 cities around the country) will be able to make a monetary donation through the page without purchase.
